1. Students Abroad Assignations Support Outline

During 2016, We are granting part of the expenses for abroad study trips to students carrying on promising research related with Membrane Engineering, field with great significance for Kobe University. It is applicable for few sudents only.

2. Conditions

This opportunity is aimed at students who have performed study trips within april 1 and september 30 of 2016, who must fulfill at least one of the following conditions:

1. To have performed collaborative research or academic exchange with educational or research institutions located abroad.
2. To have studied in a university abroad (excluding language studies)
3. To have presented his/her work at an international conference

3. Application Method

Please fill the Application Forms #1 and #2, and deliver original and 1 copy for each form.

At writing the application, please make clear and understandable your research content, particularly: the social background, academic and research significance and outcome, based on the correlation of your research with the Membrane Engineering field.

However, In case that the relevance of your research within the Membrane Engineering Field is not clear enough, you can attach a separate explanatory document (1 page, A4 size, free format). the delivery of this document can be requested during the selection process as well.

4. Support Amount

The amount to be provided will be decided according to the internal regulations and policies of this organization.

6. Deadline

October 31 of 2016 (Monday)

7. Responsabilities of the Selected Aspirant

After the finalization of the abroad assignation period the student must submit a report of his/her activities to this organization (one A4 page, This report will be published in our Newsletter)

The student must specify in every document, digital presentation (slides) and/or poster presented that he/she is a recipient of our support.

8. Considerations Regarding the Application Process

1. Each application is considered to be performed by one research group going up to 2 members.
2. Both the aborad assignation support and the scholarship provision are applicable only during the current fiscal year, and are to be provided to 1 student once.
3. When multiple applications are performed by an advising professor, he must assign the order and preference at the moment of application.
4. Each professor must prepare the documents and deliver them all at the same time properly enclosed in envelopes at the moment of application.
