1. Scholarship System Outline

During the second period of 2016, we grant an scholarship to doctorate students who perform promising research, able to move up towards new stages in Membrane Engineering, field with great significance for Kobe University.

2. Conditions

To be a Doctorate course student, currently conducting research related with Membrane Engineering.

3．Application Method

Please fill the Application Form #3, and deliver original and 1 copy.
At writing the application, please make clear and understandable your research content, particularly: the social background, academic and research significance and outcome, based on the correlation of your research with the Membrane Engineering field.
However, In case that the relevance of your research within the Membrane Engineering Field is not clear enough, you can attach a separate explanatory document (1 page, A4 size, free format). the delivery of this document can be requested during the selection process as well.

4．Scholarship amount

Up to ¥300,000 (during 1 year)
Up to ¥150.000 (during six months)

6. Deadline

October 31 of 2016 (Monday)

7. Responsabilities of the Selected Aspirant

(1) After the finalization of the scholarship period the student must give account of the following items to this organization:

• Must provide a written report of research results (Manuscript paper up to 2 pages, this report will be published on the Newsletter).
• Must perform a poster presentation at the summer seminar offered by this organization.
• Must provide a list of presented papers related with the research subject supported by this scholarship, performed within the stipulated period.

(2) In case of having written papers related with the research subject supported by this scholarship, the student must specify in these papers that he/she is a recipient of our scholarship.

8. Considerations Regarding the Application Process

1. Each application is considered to be performed by one research group going up to 2 members.
2. Both the abroad assignation support and the scholarship provision are applicable only during the current fiscal year, and are to be provided to 1 student once.
3. When multiple applications are performed by an advising professor, he must assign the order and preference at the moment of application.
4. Each professor must prepare the documents and deliver them all at the same time properly enclosed in envelopes at the moment of application.
